In this blog post, I am going to explain how we use Episerver Find to build filterable search components to deliver exceptional search experiences.

Episerver Find

At Luminary, we love Episerver Find. It's built on Elastic Search, it's .NET API is really nice to work with and well documented, and best of all it comes included with Episerver Digital Experience Cloud Service (DXC). Being built on Elastic Search means it includes some powerful faceting features including;

  • Terms
  • Range
  • Histogram
  • Geographical distance
  • Filter

Using Facets as Filters

[explain Terms facet and how via the FilterHits method, you can retrieve facets without applying the filters applied to search results] meaning you can get a list of these Terms without filtering by a Keyword. and use the result to build the Filtering components.
